Privacy Policy

Last updated: September 15, 2026

The Community Management Academy ("TCMA", "we", "us") respects your privacy. This policy explains what information we collect through thecommunitymanagementacademy.com.ng, how we use it, and the choices you have.

By using this website, you agree to the practices described below.

1. Who We Are

The Community Management Academy is an education and training company based in Lagos, Nigeria, offering the Community Management Accelerator Bootcamp and related programs. For any privacy question or request, you can reach us on Instagram at @thecommunitymanagementacademy.

2. Information We Collect

We keep data collection to a minimum. This website does not require an account. The only third-party measurement we use is the Meta (Facebook) Pixel described below, which runs only after you accept it — or, in regions where consent is not legally required, by default until you decline.

  • Contact / inquiry form: when you submit the form, you provide your full name, email address, WhatsApp number and how you heard about us. This information is used to pre-fill a WhatsApp message addressed to our team — it is not stored on our web servers or in a database by us.
  • Language preference: with your consent, we store your chosen language (English or French) in your browser's localStorage and a small cookie, so the site opens in your preferred language next time.
  • Consent choice: we store whether you accepted or declined the banner notice, so we don't ask you again.
  • Advertising measurement (Meta Pixel): when enabled, the Meta (Facebook) Pixel records pages viewed and actions such as clicking a registration button or submitting the inquiry form. It sets Meta cookies (such as "_fbp") and shares this information with Meta Platforms, Inc. to measure whether our ads lead to registrations and to improve our campaigns. You can opt out through the consent banner, your browser settings, or your Facebook ad preferences.

3. Cookies and Browser Storage

We use browser storage for "tcma-lang" (your language choice), "tcma-consent" (your banner choice) and "tcma-ad-consent" (your advertising choice). When the Meta Pixel is enabled, Meta sets its own cookie ("_fbp", lasting up to 90 days) for advertising measurement. None of this is used to build profiles we share with data brokers, and the Pixel is switched off entirely when you decline.

If you declined the banner notice, your language choice is kept in sessionStorage for the current tab only and is deleted when you close the tab. You can also clear all of this data at any time through your browser settings — the site will simply ask for your preference again.

4. How We Use Your Information

We use the details you submit through the inquiry form for one purpose only: to contact you on WhatsApp with payment information, the cohort schedule and answers to your questions. We use your language preference solely to display the site in your chosen language.

We do not sell, rent or trade your personal information.

5. Third-Party Services

This website links to third-party platforms that operate under their own privacy policies, including:

  • WhatsApp — used for inquiries and our learner community.
  • Our registration page (bit.ly/tcmafoundations) — where enrollment and payment happen.
  • Meta Platforms, Inc. (Facebook) — advertising measurement through the Meta Pixel, when enabled. See Meta's Data Policy and your Facebook ad preferences to control how Meta uses this data.
  • Instagram, LinkedIn and YouTube — our social profiles.
  • Please review those services' own privacy policies before sharing information with them.

6. Data Retention

Because inquiry details are sent directly through WhatsApp, we do not maintain a web database of your form submissions. Any conversation you have with our team on WhatsApp is retained within that platform according to its settings. Your language and consent preferences remain in your browser until you clear them.

7. Your Rights and Choices

You may at any time:

  • Clear the site's cookies and browser storage from your browser settings.
  • Ask us to delete the personal details you shared with our team, by messaging @thecommunitymanagementacademy on Instagram.
  • Withdraw your language-preference consent using the banner, or by clearing your browser storage.
  • Withdraw your advertising consent at any time by clearing your browser storage (the banner will ask again on your next visit), or by adjusting your ad preferences in your Facebook account settings.

8. Children's Privacy

The Bootcamp is intended for adults building a professional career. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us information, please contact us and we will delete it.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The "last updated" date at the top of this page always reflects the current version. Continued use of the website after changes means you accept the updated policy.

10. Contact Us
